How Investment Clubs In Zambia Can Do Marketing Online For Their Businesses During Covid-19 Lockdown

During lockdown, do not let your brand be with you in your house. Here are practical steps you can start, right away, to promote your brand online. Remember, when the shops eventually open, and they will open, in two weeks to one month, then, your clients need to be still thinking of you.

Here a few strategies to utilize.

Create an account on 8 social media platforms

1.    Be on social media. Create an account on blogger, facebook, twitter, linkedin, Instagram, jumia, jijji (former olx), and youtube.

2.    Do small product videos, and share: Now, this is easy. And inexpensive. Use your own smart phone and record videos of your products, explaining how they work, and how they benefit your clients. And post on the social media platforms above.

3.    Write short articles, 100 words-300 words: These are very short articles, to educate your audience. If you sell food, write about health. If you repair cars, write about parking a car for long and how to keep battery alive. If you sell seeds, write about how to reduce pest infestation. And if you sell financial services, write about financial literacy.

4.    Host video sessions: Do this with clients, like facebook live, or do a session on skype, zoom, or other video sharing platforms, like google duo. Schedule an event, invite your customers, and let them ask you questions about your industry, and your products.

5.    Offer free delivery: If you can still sell during this time, offer free delivery of your services, or products, at your own cost.

6.    Blast emails: Harvest emails in your database, probably about 2,000, and send product info emails to your clients, or offers.

7.    Create newsletter: Create an email newsletter, and send emails to your clients, once a week, make them short, informative, and entertaining. People pay more to be entertained than to be educated.

8.    Blast sms to your phone book: Do not be shy. If they are in your phone book, then, they know you, so, go ahead, send them a blast sms, wish them to stay safe, and stay at home, and let them know your services are still available, and can be helpful to them during this time (if they can indeed be used).

There you are. Now, go and execute. It matters not how much you know, but how much you put into practice.
